Many of us enjoy the cool, crisp air of the fall and all of the celebrations that come with this time of year. We also recognize that these traditions are not celebrated by everyone for various reasons.
What are options for teachers who want to include all of their students in the beauty of the changing leaves and the new season? What other inclusive stories or songs could be used that may have a hint of frightfulness, but take you on a different path? What other cultures could we explore during this time of the year?
Join Drue Bullington, Liban Gómez, and Jeaneau Julian for ideas that welcome all students to participate in the ever changing colors of our fall landscape! Participants will receive detailed notes and lesson plans to finish out October and go into November with a different perspective on the season.

Drue Bullington teaches elemental music and movement at Brownstown Elementary School in Lancaster, PA. He teaches in several Orff Schulwerk levels certification courses around the U.S. and offers numerous workshops yearly in the Orff Approach. Drue serves as President of the American Center for Elemental Music and Movement.
Liban O. Gómez was born and raised in the Dominican Republic and has taught for 15 years in the Bronx, New York City. Liban has a Master’s Degree in TESOL and is certified in Orff-Schulwerk. He is a polyglot, the past president of the NYC Chapter of AOSA, and serves in ACEMM.
Jeaneau Julian is an educator in Central Arkansas. She completed her Bachelors in Instrumental Music Education from the University of Oklahoma and a Masters in TESOL from Arkansas Tech University. She is certified in Orff Schulwerk and serves as Vice-President of ACEMM as well as a Trustee on the AOSA National Board of Trustees.
