Jeaneau Julian is in her 24th year of teaching music, beginning her first full year at Manitou Park Elementary in Tacoma, Washington. She completed her undergraduate degree in Instrumental Music Education and all of her Kodaly levels from the University of Oklahoma and earned a master’s degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from Arkansas Tech University. She has completed her Orff Schulwerk Teacher Education levels and has previously served as Treasurer for the Central Arkansas Orff chapter. In addition to teaching music, she was the Winter 2022 American Center for Elemental Music and Movement Spotlight Award Winner, and serves as Vice-President of ACEMM as well as a Trustee for the National Board of Trustees of the American Orff Schulwerk Association.
Stephanie Menefee has taught elementary music in Tacoma, WA since 2000. She also serves as the district content lead for all of elementary music in Tacoma Public Schools. Her and her husband have three incredible children, two of whom you will hear about in this session. Her boys are why she is so passionate about this subject.
